Chris Jackson is the Founder and CEO of Protium, one of the UK’s largest dedicated green hydrogen energy companies. A leading architect of the UK’s hydrogen economy, Chris focuses on moving the sector beyond theory and into large-scale operational reality.
Under his leadership, Protium has delivered “steel in the ground” through a portfolio of flagship assets, including Pioneer 1—Protium’s UK’s first operational green hydrogen hub, with the development of Pioneer 2, a massive scaling milestone for the business set to produce 25 times the capacity of its predecessor.
Chris previously served as a strategic advisor to the UK Government (BEIS) during the development of the national hydrogen strategy and is the co-founder of the globally recognised podcast, Everything About Hydrogen. He began his career at the World Bank, where he pioneered the institution’s first internal funding for hydrogen and clean energy technologies.
